Spherical Plain Bearings

Contact Now

A spherical plain bearing is a bearing that permits angular rotation about a central point in two orthogonal directions (usually within a specified angular limit based on the bearing geometry). Typically these bearings support a rotating shaft in the bore of the inner ring that must move not only rotationally.Thrust spherical plain bearings are available with sliding contact surface combination steel/PTFE FRP which are suitable for single direction axial loads or combined axial and radial loads. They have low coefficient of friction and are relatively insensitive to contaminants.

Most typically, RBC spherical plain bearings are employed in hydraulic cylinder rod ends, vehicle steering linkage suspensions, heavy equipment articulated joints, and other severe duty uses.
